White Grout Not So White Anymore?

February 17, 2018

You found the perfect kitchen. It’s inside your dream home! But now its several years later and that white grout isn’t quite so white anymore. With proper cleaning, sealing, and quick spill removal you can keep all your grout looking as new as when you bought the house! But we know not everyone has the time and money to keep sealing and constantly cleaning grout, so we’ve got some tips for that deep cleaning in between our visits that will have your partner asking when you redid the kitchen without them knowing!

Mix up grout cleaner in a large bowl or bucket and stir well to combine:
1/2 gallon hot water
1/2 cup baking soda
1/3 cup ammonia
1/4 cup vinegar

Using a spray bottle (always label bottles if you are saving some mixture for a later time) or sponge, generously apply to the grout scrubbing into every line. Wait and let sit for a minutes to do the dirty work.

Scrub again. If grout is still dirty, apply extra cleaner and wait up to 45 minutes for cleaner to work. Scrub again.

Rinse with fresh tap water and dry!
